The program has been introduced along with featured events, pioneering phenomena, and inspiring topics of the times in higher education. Through open and deeper conversations on innovative concepts and practices, the program highlights and reflects the transformational direction of teaching and learning.

1. The theme

This talk will focus on the Global Research Agenda on “Emerging Technologies for Inclusive and Equitable Quality Education”, including but not limited to the following topics:

1)Explore how emerging technologies could be situated in the education ecosystem to enhance education equity, quality and efficiency.

2)Propose theoretical frameworks that could be adopted for such studies

3)Identify types of research inquiries that could guide the studies

 

2. Format

The session will begin with a 20–30 minute presentation by Prof. Lim, followed by an informal, inclusive, and intellectually engaging discussion. This session welcomes participation from both faculty members and students.

 

3. Time and venue

Time: 12:00 PM-13:00 PM, Apr. 22nd, 2025

Venue: Room 132, Chen Ruiqiu Bldg, Minhang Campus, Shanghai Jiao Tong University

LIM Cher Ping
Chair Professor of Learning Technologies and Innovation and Co-Director of the Global Institute for Emerging Technologies at The Education University of Hong Kong
He is a Visiting Professor at the UNESCO International Centre for Higher Education Innovations, and an Advisory Editor and former Editor-in-Chief of The Internet and Higher Education for the last decade. He has engaged major education stakeholders at the national and international levels as his research and development partners for enhancing equity, quality and efficiency in the education sector enabled by information and communication technologies.
